I would suggest that any of us that go on it keep the names that we are familiar with.

I concur. Although some of us might have to make slight alterations to our names if they're over 10 characters long.

Collector - when you click the link it's automatically redirecting to: http://www.sierrahelp.com/HotLinkingRedirect.html

Someone on the FAUX INN list pointed this out when I linked them to the thread (not the file itself). So I tried it and got the same error. Signed into the forum and tried it again, and got the same error.

It is working for me just by clicking on the link in the first post. I'll setup a page for it.

Weird. If you click the link - to the forum - from an email - then click down to the file - it does the hotlink thing.

I just tested it. It works fine from this browser. But if I go to my email, click the link to this thread. This thread opens. And if I click the link within - it won't work. :-/

It seems to be an IE thing. It does not occur with FF. I'll just setup a page for it.

I have been contacted by someone that has had trouble for a while connecting to the server (I guess that there was an assumption that I had something to do with the project since I wrote this installer to setup the INN client in DOSBox. I was unable to the server, myself. All I could do was to refer him to the people in charge of the INN Revival project. I did send an email to them, myself. I'll see if I get any response from them. If they need help to continue, I'm sure that there are people in the Sierra community that would be happy to contribute, but if they have given up on it, like so many fan based projects, it would be nice if they would open their source to allow others to pickup where they left off.

Hi,

I'm from Spain and I know about this site due to the ImagiNation Revival project. I have a spanish website about classic PC games and some of us are INN fans since I discovered it three months ago.

I congratulate the person in charge of the project because it's a great way of entertainment. But there's a little problem. The server that hosts the game is down frequently. I log in every day and I've verified that the server is online for 10 days and offline for other 5 or 6. During a month the server is online 20 days and down another 11, and it's a lot of time.

So, I've thought in a possible solution. I've got a hosting with free bandwidth but I don't know if the program could link to my server for the connection.

INN is a great utility for tournaments and to enjoy in groups. It's a pity that it's down several times in a month (just now, for example).

I'm waiting for your answer.

Thanks in advance.

I have nothing to do with the INN Revival, I only wrote the installer for the INN client. I have never been in contact with anyone involved with the project or maintaining the server. You can try the email from the project page, but I don't know if anyone monitors it anymore or not.

If you find out anything, let us know.

Indeed. The list is normally kind of chatty, but has been very quiet for awhile now.
