I have the first Legacy Of Kane... reminded me, in many aspects, of Castle Vania (sp) - ... granted the opening for Legacy Of Kane is pretty cool - but the "sucking of blood" bit got old after awhile. I never finished the first one.

I liked KQ 4. I thought they started the upturn with that one. (wasn't too fond of III) By the by, how were the other Sierra games? (Leisure Suit Larry, Police Quest...) Do they follow the same basic format as the KQ games?

Leisure Suit Larry does - but more... sexual in orientation. But same concept. "A remote control? What's this for?" LSL2 being the best - bar none - of that series, in my opinion.

Police Quest - again, same concept - but more police like. PQ3, by far the best in this series.

Quest for Glory - once again, same idea, more RPG based. For me the original quest for glory was the best in this series (though I never finished QFGV!)

Space Quest - same, but with A LOT of GREAT humor. SQIII is my favorite here, with SQIV right up on its tale.

KQ4 was the first of the SCI games, a huge leap forward in game technology. The earlier games were AGI, a far simpler technology. SCI added MIDI music, higher resolution graphics and more colors. It also gave the use of a mouse and allowed for more complicated scripting.

They are the same format in that they are all classic Sierra point and click adventures. They all have the same basic interfaces, with minor differences. However, the stories they tell can be very different.

Wasn't June 4, 2006 the date they had announced before they pushed it back to December?

I suppose I could have done a new post and tried to explain everything and repost the links... that would be too much work. This is easier. Sort of like banning your "funny" @!#$! :D

And the date has been shoved back 2 months... no surprise.

This item will be released on August 4, 2006.
