My love for Sierra goes way back to the golden age of PCs with only two color screens. Not having enough floppies to get the gigantic Space Quest IV from my friend. Didn't have a PC myself, so most of the old ones I played in black/white on a Mac Plus at home. Probably spent way too much time than anyone should in the beginning half of King's Quest 3.

It's funny, I got so hooked on LucasArts adventures when VGA graphics came around, that I missed out on a lot of the newer versions of the Sierra series (King's Quest VI) And then for some reason returned to it to play the weird ones (King's Quest VII and Torin's Passage) For all my love of the early Sierra days I haven't played nearly as much of the games as I would like.
Thankfully they have been re-releasing most of the games, both digitally (on gog.com) and they released several of the games, several years ago (from the classic "Quest" series stuff). So it's not that difficult to get a hold of if you want to play them!

Not to mention the new installers if you happen to already own them.

Hi, I'm Felix, Adventure fan since around the late 90s. Truth be told, I'm probably leaning more towards the LucasArts camp but I've sunk my fair share of hours (and money) into Sierra titles as well. Still got some gaps to fill though (QfG series, most prominently), we'll see how that goes.

I am not sure if it originated there - but it's a reference to the X-MEN comics. Image

Hey everyone! So, I'm trying to be more active on all these forums, but I haven't technically introduced myself! I apologize for overlooking that!

My name is Josh. I've been playing Sierra games since 1990, when my sister got a computer filled with classic Sierra adventure games. I was hooked on those old school EGA classics, and played several of them or watched my Mom or sister play them.

The computer was put up in '95, and i sadly didn't know much about Iserra games until i happened across the King's Quest Collection Series at Computer City for $20 in 1999. KQ had always been my favorite Sierra series, so I got it and started playing them again (or for the first time, for KQ6-7).

It occurred to me that maybe there were other fans of Sierra online, so I first entered the Sierra online community through Yahoo's clubs. I was fairly active on the Yahoo clubs for several years, as well as the forums at the website Sierra Planet until about 2003, when life stepped in and kept me from really interacting as often. I had started collecting Sierra games in 2001, and had a pretty decent collection (which has grown a bit since then), but that got put on hold as well.

I really jumped back in August of last year, when I finally got a smart phone and was able to actually keep up with people on a semi-regular basis. Since then I've been fairly active on Facebook and Twitter, but I'm excited to be here as well!

Sierra community has had a special place in my heart since 1999, and I'm glad to be here and see it's still strong!! The Sierra Community is AWESOME!!!

Talk to you later!!!

Hi everyone. Some of you might already know me from other forums (QuestStudios, AGDI, QFMG).

I first played Quest for Glory 1 (the Hero's Quest version) back in late '89 or early '90 on the Amiga 2000. That got me into some of the other series, Police Quest, King's Quest, etc. I like the QFG series the best, but I don't think I've played a Sierra game that I didn't like.

Happy gaming! :)
