Hey everyone. i just joined the forum and I am very happy to be here. I thought maybe I was the only person left who was still addicted to Sierra games. King's Quest series in particular. I do have problems however with some of them. Particularly with KQ8. Always freezes up after I get the axe in Daventry. This is very upsetting to me as I will play this game over and over when given the oppurtunity. I even had my teenage son playing it. Can you imagine? lol Any advice to remedy this problem is greatly appreciated. Thanks and nice to meet everyone.

Definitely keep us posted. I am sure someone here will have a fix for you, one way or the other.
So of all the King's Quest games, KQ8 is your favorite? Very Happy Interesting choice.

Ok so I'm only 15 and I havent't really been able to use eBay or anything like that, so my Sierra collection's pretty dadgum small. But tell me what yall think anyway.
It's only 35 games (I think). Right now I've got:
Space Quest I: The Sarien Encounter
Space Quest V: The Next Mutation
Space Quest 6: The Spinal Frontier
Roger Wilco Unclogged (SQ I-V)
SQ Collection (SQ I-6; Vivendi)
King's Quest V: Absence Makes the Heart Go Yonder
King's Quest VI: Heir Today, Gone Tomorrow
King's Quest VII: The Princeless Bride
KQ Collection (KQ I-VII; Vivendi)
Police Quest: Open Season
PQ Collection (PQ 1-4 and SWAT)
PQ Collection (PQ 1-4; Vivendi)
Quest for Glory IV: Shadows of Darkness
QfG Collection (QfG I-IV)
Shivers
Phantasmagoria
Phantasmagoria: A Puzzle of Flesh
Outpost 2
Gobliins 2: The Prince Baffoon
Inca
Inca 2
You Don't Know JACK Pack (With TV, Movies, and Sports Versions)
Aliens v Predator 2: Gold Edition
Half Life
I've also got the novelizations of Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers and The Beast Within: A Gabriel Knight Mystery. Fantastic books! I'm working on getting Quest for Glory V and King's Quest VIII right now. Anyone know of a cheap eBay auction or something similar where I might find these?
Oh, and I even made a stupid slideshow with the boxes I had! Ain't that awesome? Very Happy

There is an eBay search link on each game's entry on the Sierra Help Pages.

It's definitely worth haunting eBay for a while, and if you can spot a game there with "BUY IT NOW" at a reasonable price, grab it. If the game is only available with the bidding option, try sniping to avoid driving up the price.

[quote"From Her Email"]I was just desperately seeking the VDMSound2.1.0.exe file to download so I could play my very old version of King's Quest VI. I finally resorted to download the 2.0.4 version form the Vogon site(I think that is where your link sent me). I haven't tried it out yet as I am just getting around to closing all the windows. If you could help me get a copy of this file, I'd really appreciate it, or let me know if this older file is acceptable, that would help too. Can't believe how hard it is to get the file suggested.[/quote]
