Hmm. I think my favourite one is "So what you're saying it, because it's 3rd edition, I suddenly can't jump?"
As for a "band of kobolds" - "Bark yap! Bark, bark, growl, bark yip!" - why does that remind me of that song "Mmm-bop"? The kobolds probably even had better hairstyles ...

I used to love drawing these when we were doing Paul's campaign. I really connected with the cartoon characters (which were all represented by the players).
Paul was a really good DM, too. He really dove into the story and let us as players, try anything.

Grayson learns a thing about an oddly colorful individual at the bar about "Funkafying" himself and raising his "Funk-Fu." The special character in the very colorful outfit is voiced by none other than Greg Johnson from Toejam and Earl! (The colorful outfit is supposed to represent Funkatron where the alien duo, Toejam and Earl come from!)

O.....kay... the google closed captions option has really gone downhill. Now it's printing nonsense in Vietnamese.
Does Grayson learn anything here? He seems too preoccupied and cynical to learn.
Man, you need to "funka-fy" yourself.
Yep, it's official. This bar has the worst advice ever.
It's fun, but I'm wondering when the adventure will start again ...

Since, when I was writing this, I knew this was going to be the final season - I'd reached out to a few people to see if they would be willing to lend some voices. And the easiest way was to have them at a tavern.
I reached out to Al Lowe (previous episode), Greg Johnson (from Toejam and Earl, this episode), as well as Seth Abel who created L.O.R.D.. Seth was going to do his also, but time ran out and he wasn't able to get it to me, by the time I was finalizing the scripts. (You can read about that here - http://neverendingnights.com/archives/906 )
But! Since you asked - the heroes learn from Amiee the Armorer some information - and proceed with their quest!

Amiee the Armorer has gathered information about the Forge of Eternal Flame and the next steps for getting Grayson's magical sword reignited to complete it's final quest... however, things won't be so easy.

All right! The title's obviously a parody of "Shawn of the Dead".
I know you mean "astral traveller", but YouTube subtitles calls him an "@$$hole traveller". Yikes?
Umm ... does Peter know what "Too Much Information" means??? Exasperate. He gets home, sits in his comfortable chair and .... OK, TMI, Peter! TMI!
"I don't like how she said, 'for the most part'."
And yes, that plan will never work. A skull helmet doesn't make you undead.
*Groan* "Your socks...." All right, that was unexpected - and hilarious.
Beat. Peter turns around without his helmet. Beat. Peter turns around again. Beat. "Run!"
The ending music is different this time. What is it?
Fun episode as usual, Tawm. Thanks!

That's funny about the Youtube Subtitle for "Astral Traveler."
And "Your Socks" - if you're talking about when they're doing "zombie noises" - Grayson is saying "Peter sucks"
The ending music was done by Travis Richards. He did an assortment of music (most of it is in the episodes, just played very subtly so it doesn't drown out the actual speaking parts) - for example the music in the tavern is a song Travis did for us called "Tavern Ditty." The ending song on this episode he never named so I always called it "Of Death And Dying."

Neverending Nights Episode 58 (HD) - VisionQuest
#NeverwinterNights #NeverendingNights #Machinima
Peter and Grayson, with the help of Amiee the Armorer meet Awyer the Astral Traveler to unlock the Riddle - and in doing so - embark on perhaps the most unusual adventure to date!
There's two versions - one with subtitles on a specific character, one without.

Is the title of the episode a reference to the Sierra quest games? Or to EverQuest?
Peter and his "longsword". Now that, I do not need to see. Can we focus?
Oh dear. This vision quest is like what the late 60s were supposed to be. "I am the Walrus", indeed.
Come and find my beloved Poppy, the Salt Merchant!
"Peter, were you born with some kind of brain deficiency?" Silly question.
Dun dun dun ... Pawl the dwarf! What?
Nice meta-humour. "This is like all those Bioware games. Just when you think you're done, there's always one quest left."
Did Paul Vasquez also voice Pawl the Dwarf?
What is a double rainbow? What makes it so special? I'm confused.

It's actually a reference to a storyline (ironically, that I hated) in a comic book series (that I loved) in West Coast Avengers (which I am ironically, currently re-reading). VisionQuest on Amazon.

Hah, that's Grayson.

That whole bit was a nod to our friend, Colette, who loves the Beatles.

Figured since NWN was a Bioware game, would be a nice nod.

Paul Vasquez, you may not know by name... but do you really not know about the "Double Rainbow" thing?
So back in 2010, a "guy" (Paul Vasquez) filmed this:
Because he got other things to fall on his lap, such as being hired to be in a promotional video by Microsoft:
Anyway, when the original episode of Neverending Nights was made (back in 2010, remember these are all me, going back and redoing these) - the whole "Double Rainbow" thing was still a thing.
So when I did the remake this weekend - I was going to take it out. But remembered, the guy who made the double rainbow thing (Paul Vasquez) had died a few months ago, this year. So I ended up leaving it on the end.

No, never heard of the double rainbow thing. *shrug* Oh, well - back in 2010, I hadn't even played Dragon Age 1 yet.
I'm sorry to hear about Paul passing away. At least you have good memories of him. I hope that's some comfort.

Heh - so it's clear, Paul Vasquez is not the guy who does Pawl the Dorf's voice. That would be my friend, Paul Molina.
I never met Paul Vasquez. I only knew of him because of the Double Rainbow thing.

Pawl the Dorf and Andrea - wait - is that Andrea? She now goes by Ruth the Redeemed - walk down the path and discuss why she rescued Pawl, and where Grayson is (she doesn't really care about Peter). Ruth reveals a startling secret about the Blade... and the infamous Dragon of Silver Lake...
