Nah, I think you're pretty safe, Andy.
You announce this on a board where many have properly practiced their lock picking skills by picking their noses?
Ah, but this is an
octiron lock, unpickable by any lockpicks - and because it's made of octiron, the unmagical metal, it also can't be opened by magic.
As for the puzzle... not sure. Could it be Police Quest 1, the crowd scene outside the car accident? *shrug*

It hasn't even been 24 hours. I don't think it was "off track" yet.

Well, thanks a lot.
Did any of you ever stop to think that maybe I haven't had an opportunity to post a picture yet? Unlike some individuals, I don't spend every waking moment trolling around on this board.
It'd be nice if some of you could have some f*cking patience. I suppose that's too much to ask on the Internet.
It doesn't matter now. I was going to post a picture, but apparently I've thrown this thread "off track." Have fun playing it, I know I certainly won't bother.

Very sorry man. I certainly didn't mean to jump the gun. I didn't realize I was supposed to post one at first.
Mine is pulled.

Hey, didn't mean to get so crabby. I think my post came sounding far more harsh than originally intended.
Anyway... I guess I will post a pic:

I chose a particularly tough game on purpose. If you guys want a hint, I'll give you one.

Did you right click and look at the image's properties? If you did, I named that game "lsl5" to purposefully throw anyone off who looked.

I swear no
I said LSL5 only because of the bright green thingy behind the man, whose color reminded my of LSL5's flashy mood.
Anyway, yes: I'd like a hint

Okay, here's a good hint: that image is NOT from an Adventure Game.

Oh, OK! Then I guess that I can't guess it right no matter how hard I try
Aces of the Deep?
(I simply opened wikipedia and chose a non-adventure game)

Those are some good guesses, but... they're not right. Do you want another hint?
