I didn't go to see a doctor until two days ago (Friday here), because I had work to go to. Also, the weather out here has been extremely hot and humid (almost tropical weather), and I figured that my condition (weakness, can't sleep, lots of sweat, headaches etc.) had more to do with the weather than with a spider.AndreaDraco wrote:Didn't you go to see a doctor? Maybe he could have given you something to help, if it was indeed a spider bite.Rath Darkblade wrote:Anyway, the pain went away in a few moments, but for the next few days, I felt very weak and shaky, couldn't sleep too well, sweated a lot (even in cool weather), and felt like I wanted to throw up but didn't have the strength. I also had a headache that lasted and lasted for about 5 days - headache medicine didn't help at all.
I realise now that I had been extremely foolish, and possibly very lucky. But at the time, I really wasn't thinking about it.
Good news! Today, finally finally FINALLY a cool change has come through, and we had a rainstorm. Not a very long one, but at least it flushed the spiderwebs off my car. I just hope this cool weather continues.DPX wrote:Yeah, I was thinking along the same lines as Andrea. Most spider bites don't need medical attention, but... well, some of the spiders there seem awfully hellish.
You need Raid. Lots and lots of Raid. Maybe a flame thrower too. That'll get that spider out from under your car.
I haven't seen that movie, but then I'm mildly arachnophobic, and I got nightmares out of Shelob. I don't think I really want to see a movie dedicated to shots of lots and lots of spiders. Just a thought...Collector wrote:You need John Goodman!
