Hey there i just had the exact same problem i have the Pharaoh Gold Sold Out version as it says on the back of the case Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows XP but it still worked i could play it without sound effects i just tried the Patch when u click Comp -DVD RW Drive (E:) PHARAOH - Allow - Patches - Pharaoh_patch. Then it opens Pharaoh Enhancement Pack Installation go through the process of clicking next the Destination Folder should be set to C:\SIERRA\Pharaoh more clicking next it installs the Enhancement pack Press finish and Bob's your uncle, Sound On Windows Vista playing Pharaoh Gold Sold Out version
