Just checked my website: $14,556.66.
Wow, I could nearly pay my college debt!

Nice!
Mine's climbing too but not nearly by that much. It's currently around $5,500 with over 40GB of data in it. Wonder why it's lagging.

Age has something to do with it.
Also, submitting it to search engines and such.
But I wouldn't worry too much... I mean...
Who would pay
$17,758.50 for Tawmis.com?
NeverendingNights.com is worth $13,559.92 which I promote all the time... And
Piratebooty.net is worth $14,453.25, though I don't do much with it.
NewWarriors.com, my oldest website, by far is worth $24,556.00. And, strangely, the site that some wouldn't "consider a real Sierra fan site" because of the lack of content is worth
$5,618.23 which is even more than say - oh, SierraChest.com.
(You know I had to rub that in, Rudy!)
But like I said, the value doesn't hold any real meaning so far as I am really concerned...

Sounds like a compliment
Good point about the search engines. I think it's the submitting to search engines where it lags. Type a title of any Sierra game, and the Sierra Chest is hard, if not impossible, to find among the search results. Type in "Sierra Chest" and you'll find my site followed by a couple hundreds of furniture stores
. So, how to change that? It's not about the supposed "money value", it's about getting the site noticed on the web.

SHP has the web presence that it has because of what it offers. It always shows up in the first few hits whenever people search for answers to problems with Sierra games. There is nothing that I have done specifically to get as many Google or Yahoo hits that it gets.
A number of game Wikis link to SHP, most of which were entered by people that I don't know, including Wikipedia, the DOSBox Wiki, ScummVM Wiki, and various Sierra Wikis. It gets linked on many forums, including non game oriented because of things like the Glide wrapper page, the MIDI device selector page for Vista/Win7 users, etc. Additionally, I have been active on a number of forums, where I have SHP listed as my website.
But probably, it has been mostly the SHP installers and patches that has driven the most traffic to here.

I think it goes the other way. I post so much crap that SHP has so many keywords that google grabs!

I must be doing something right with SierraInteraction.... because it's
currently sitting at $9,318.58. Though... to be honest, I don't quite trust this estimate. It states the domain was registered in 2006 and estimates 600,000+ visitors per month, so I suspect I'm getting the stats for
www.wikidot.com (the wiki provider) rather than my own sub-domain's stats.
I can't wait for my job training to be done so I can get on a normal work schedule and get back to working on that.

They place a very high emphasis on age, so they are getting it mixed up with the main site. Sites that are older that SHP that have far less traffic get appraised higher. Additionally, the visitor statistics from both Compete and Alexa are very inaccurate. They usually estimate unique visitors at less than a quarter of the actual numbers.
Beyond all of that, it is just a bit of silliness. Who would pay pay someone $18,000+ for their vanity site?

I had no idea what tawmis.com was at these days, nor was I even thinking of it. I just grabbed a random number out of the air based on any given generic site.

I don't even do anything with the site anymore these days... The forums have fallen to silence... because of work (hours), I haven't chased the whole voice acting thing... it's pretty much just floating in the void at the moment.
