Hmm. I also tried playing BTTF and got stuck there -- so I did consult a walkthrough. (You mean the mafia thug behind the counter at the soup kitchen? 1935 or so?)

Perhaps you were never doing anything wrong, but instead in a time loop paradox?
HAH! It certainly felt like it...

Whew! So I'm not the only one...
Yes, that is/was the part I'm having trouble with. I shall have to consult a walkthrough when I get done with some other Sierra projects I'm currently working on...

Yep. I remember that part of the game very well, because the mafioso was listening to an old-time radio, calling a horse race (I think). I was walking around the soup kitchen and thinking what to do, and all this time the horse race was being called on endless loop.
It's a multi-part puzzle, but I wouldn't have gotten it without a walkthrough.

Good to know. Thank you!

I fixed the audio sync issue (that I also saw in SQ5 which took that forever) and fixed it in the non commentary version of SQIV.
I do love that this was uploaded after my SQ5 footage, finished uploading, finished processing, all before my SQ5 has finished processing the HQ version of the video.
