[2024] The Many Rooms of the MASQ!

[* Tardy Tardis]

Tardy Tardis considers their options, glancing back at the rows of books one last time.

"A return to the Study might be interesting," they decide, "especially with all the studying going on."

Upon entering the Study, Tardy Tardis spots Ivaylo engrossed in his book and quietly asks, “Is there ever a moment when studying history feels more like planning an adventure than simply reading?”

[* Grumpy bear]

Hrimpf! I hope to find some nice flowers in the conservatory but none of them are in bloom.

[* Irda]

Upon entering the Study, Tardy Tardis spots Ivaylo engrossed in his book and quietly asks, “Is there ever a moment when studying history feels more like planning an adventure than simply reading?”

I do love to plan adventures. But pardon me, I am going to the library.

[* Single Malt Scotch]

I go to the Ballroom and find a phonograph in the room. I search through the record collection and play Chopin's Waltz in C Sharp Minor.

[* Ivaylo]

In the study, Ivaylo is distracted by the music. Blast it! No-one will allow him to study in peace!

In a foul mood, Ivaylo grabs the book and stomps away to the hall, there to sit on the hard ground and read the book.

[* Single Malt Scotch]

I head to the Conservatory. I recognize some of the botanicals used to make gin.

[* Grumpy bear]

I try to play a game in the Billiard Room, but the chalk is missing. Hrmpf!

[* Single Malt Scotch]

I join Grumpy bear in the Billiard room and bring some new chalk. "What game do you want to play," I ask.

[* Tardy Tardis]

Tardy Tardis chuckles at Ivaylo's hasty departure, then decides the Study has grown too quiet without him.

"Perhaps a stroll through the Hall will lead to new discoveries—or new distractions."

Tardy Tardis heads to the Hall and, spotting Ivaylo with his book, grins and asks, "Ever found a story so captivating that the world could crumble around you, and you’d never notice?"

[* Ivaylo]

Ivaylo is distressed by all this noise. "I am trying to find a way back home to the Bulgaria I know, back in 1278 anno domine! No doubt my country is going to rack and ruin without me, and my fellow peasants cry out for deliverance, for the country is beset by Mongol invasions and Byzantine treachery!"

He hefts the hefty hardcover and continues, "But alas! It appears I will never read this book in peace, and not find out the end of my adventures, nor will I discover how to return to my own time! Woe is me!"

[* Grumpy bear]

I hear a lot of noise coming from the library. Hrmpf! Libraries should be silent! So I stay in the billiard room to play with the balls.

[* Single Malt Scotch]

I head to the library and search for a book on Bulgarian history so I can make better conversation with Ivaylo.

[* Irda]

There seems to be quite a few people in the billiard room, I shall leave the library and see why everyone has gathered here.

[* Tardy Tardis]

Tardy Tardis listens sympathetically to Ivaylo’s plight, nodding thoughtfully.

“Ah, the trials of a time-lost adventurer,” they muse. “If only the Lounge held a secret portal back to your era—perhaps I’ll go investigate.”

With a parting nod, Tardy Tardis drifts toward the Lounge. Once there, they sink into a comfortable chair and call out whimsically, “Has anyone here ever felt they belong to another time?”

[*The Butler]

New rule - you can freely move around the rooms now! They no longer need to be adjacent or secret passages! You can get to people faster!

Remember the rule that's in place -

Don't forget the new rule!

If someone goes to the same room you are in - they may ask you a question - but the question MUST be related to the room you are in. So for example, if I am in the kitchen - and someone else posts that they go to the Kitchen (and they're able to from a room next to the kitchen) - they can then ask, "Do you like milk?" (since one might find milk in a kitchen). You might ask a similar question in a dining room. In the billiard room you might ask, "Do you like to play pool?" In the library you might ask, "Do you like Tolkien?"

All of your answers - must be answered as if it were the REAL you not as your MASQ personality. (So for example, I wouldn't answer it how I think the Butler from CLUE would answer, I would answer as if it were Tawmis).

This is done to gather clues as to who is behind the MASQ.

And YOU MUST ANSWER even if that person before you can leave the room if they ask you while you're both in the room!

So for example, if Mrs. White came into the Library and I am there, and she asked, "Do you like Tolkien?"

I'd need to answer her truthfully (as me, Tawmis, not as the Butler, would answer), so as the Butler, I might say, "I do quite enjoy Tolkien's works!" And then I can leave the room.

This is to help collect clues to see who is behind the MASQ they wear!
