I'm currently playing Deus Ex: Human Revolution and DC Universe Online, DC Comics' MMO which just went free-to-play.

Also playing DX:HR and really enjoying it. The feel of the game really reminds me of the first one so far.

I play as strictly a stealth character, since I feel like it takes a bit more finesse to get through an area and stop the bad guys without anyone knowing you're there. I don't even take anyone down along the way. I know I won't be able to avoid fighting bosses, but other than that, I plan on avoiding everyone else and being a complete ghost (unless the plot gives me a good reason not to).

The thing I really like about this game so far is the entire human augmentation controversy. At first I thought that it was no big deal, as long as it wasn't pushed on anyone. However, some game characters bring up the point that if it becomes accepted, then eventually people will feel pressured to do it, just to be given preference. There could be a kind of non-augment prejudice. I hadn't thought of that before playing the game and it's a good thought. I could actually see that happening eventually.

What's especially interesting is that some of the controversy they show in the game, which takes place in 2027, you see hints of in science news articles now regarding synthetic limbs and such.

While waiting for the GK2 playthrough to start, I've dug up some nostalgia in both BlockOut and Pinball Dreams 2. It's really noticeable how well PD2 has stood the test of time, it's from 1994 and still a lot of fun. And I've doubled my Blockout highscore now I know how that works with starting in high levels and stacking.

I'm playing the SQ2 remake and dying... and dying... and dying... and dying. :P

But hey, that sounds fairly normal for SQ games, right? ;)

Zelda: Skyward Sword, trying to play GTA: Episodes from Liberty City, but it's kind of boring me, and the graphics seem worse on my PC than I remember GTA4 looking on 360. I just bought LA Noire on Steam for around $12. I've been busy with that over the weekend. I like it except I can't skip cutscenes. I had to replay one mission over and over and watch the same long cutscenes as I tried to figure out how to play the game and get the best rating.

Just finished both "Curse of Monkey Island" and "Space Quest 2 Remake" yesterday.

Now I'm juggling "Uncharted 3" and "Portal 2."

I got the D&D Anthology and the NWN Anthology for XMAS...

I don't think I ever beat Balder's Gate... and I think I see why. It's amazing how quickly members in your team can die. Which, obviously is a bad thing, if they're one of your quest givers. I did one fight (at the new town, in the beginning of the game after your "father" dies) about 16 different times, before all the party members survived.... Needless to say, that's not encouraging for how the rest of the game will go... and has gone... several times, I have been met with what's pretty much instant death... and I am remembering, why, I never finished it.

Am enjoying Sherlock Holmes - Consulting Detective. Still need to solve Tin Soldier but I've managed the other two. I wish they used closed captioning though.

So I just finished Deus Ex: Human Revolution and I have to say that I liked it even better than the original Deus Ex. Very well-made game: user-friendly and a great story.

I really enjoyed the dialogue "puzzles" (basically being able to talk your way out of of a situation) AND, I got to be stealthy for most of the game. :D Other than the 4 bosses the game makes you kill, the only other people I killed were a few people by choice because it made sense in the story. I sneaked by everyone else in the game without them even knowing I was there (and got the "Ghost" achievement for it every time). I'm pretty proud to say I got the "Foxiest of the Hounds" achievement as well. Normally, I don't care about achievements, but I LOVE stealth game play and like feeling super-sneaky. :D

I'm not sure what I'll move on to next, but I have older adventure games to try out. Perhaps one of those. Whatever I choose, it's going to be hard to follow DX:HR.

BG1 or BG2? I never played BG1, but I did play -- and almost beat -- BG2. At some point or another, I just got lost. As crazy as it sounds, BG2 seemed like a larger game with a much longer (and utterly confusing at times) storyline than any recent RPG.

Anyway... BG2 is better than BG1. It still has some problems and the main villain is somewhat two-dimensional, despite what die-hard fans say. Even so, it's still the better choice between it and the first game.

BG1 is the one I was playing... I have BG2 and expansions with that Anthology... but I will probably just skip to just doing NWN2 with expansions, which I have never beaten.

Those games are always hard until you level up and get a good group of 6 characters. If you haven't already, go to the Inn or whatever it is where two companions are waiting for you. Then try to find Minsc. Branwen is probably the best cleric so grab her too. Then depending on whether you're good or evil, you'll need to decide which characters you want to travel with you. You'll definitely want the cleric and a mage and a thief to disarm traps and open locks. And if you're not evil, you should definitely bring along Minsc. And he'll give you a quest to rescue one of the best mages in the game. And you could always just cheat and spawn books to increase your attributes so you have max (24 or 25?) stats. Your constitution will be so high that you'll have natural regeneration. With a couple warriors, a thief, a cleric, and a magic user, you should be able to handle most enemies. My main party consisted of my paladin, Minsc, probably Imoen, Branwen, Dynaheir, and I can't remember who the sixth character was. If you're playing evil, you'll want to choose evil characters.

I'm now playing Shivers! Both on my Dino and on my notebook. My plan was to make things like this one:

I still need to tinker with the video settings to get a better quality.
