Is it in a game with 'Quest' somewhere in the title?

Was the game made in the 90s?

Does the game have FMV (such as Shivers, Phantasmagoria, GK2, etc)?

OK ... well, the Quest games are out, the Conquest games are out, and Shivers, Phantasmagoria, the GK series, and (presumably) Lighthouse is out. Thank Gawd.
That only leaves one candidate ...
Are you in Leisure Suit Larry?

Assuming it's Larry or some other game - are you in an even numbered one of the series? (Assuming it's a series)

OK -
So - are you in Gabriel Knight 3?
(It doesn't really have FMV, nor is it horror, nor is it a 'Quest' game...)

That's funny ... I could've sworn the Gabriel Knight series includes horror elements. (GK3 features kidnapped babies, demonic rituals, and Gabriel suffering hideous horror-related deaths, for a start. Of course, it's also the most 'cartoonish' -- if I may use that word about GK3 -- in the series).
Are you in Gabriel Knight 1?

I wouldn't call GK3 horror, however. Unless the Bible too is considered horror (because it has some horrific things in it. Just read Revelations among other things!)
And for hideous deaths.
That's just about every Sierra game. Space Quest is a prime example.

OK, two comments:
1. Hideous deaths in Sierra games? Absolutely. The
only exception I can think of is LSL7.
2. As for the Bible having horrific things in it -- I agree. See Tim Minchin's song
"The Good Book".
(I hope this isn't considered Bible-bashing. I don't mind people believing in the Bible; the song is simply about the literalists, who believe that every word in the Bible is 100% true).

I believe LSL5 is an exception too. I do not think (or recall) any way to die in that game.
Though the game itself was horrendous.
