In this instance, I'll answer it: No, I'm not in either of them ... but I'd still like to know, please. :)
I would think that as long as the question can be answered with a yes or a no, it should be fine. Or I suppose I could have rephrased it as "Are you found in a room with a fluid substance (e.g water, lava, etc.)?"

Anyway:

Are you found in the room outside the treasure room (the one where the Hero has to climb down)?

I checked a video and walkthrough and the Hero either jumps down (Fighter), levitates down (Magic User), or uses a rope (Thief). Tawmis already asked about the rope which as far as I can tell is they only thing that is in the room but not in the screenshot.

I don't know. Are you the Hero jumping down?

Are you the voice that speaks from the door? I can't recall the character's name? The one where you need to guess his name (I believe).

So not the door and not the voice. But the voice is close? And yet, still not magical?

Are you the thunder after speaking the correct name?

Grumble. I know I answered this last night - I know I did! :x

And no, I'm not the thunder.

Nope.

(I picked a really hard one, I know.

Meanwhile, in a parallel universe, Leisure Suit Larry snickered at what I just said) :P

So the voice is close. You're not the door. On the door. You're not the voice from the other side. You're not a sound. So you're not the name you need to speak (since that requires sound that the hero speaks it).

So to confirm - are you visible on this screen?

I am, yes.

Clue to avoid this taking forever: One of your statements is not true. :)

Eh - then are you "Suleiman" which the hero has to speak (thus, ahem, technically making a sound when speaking) to open the door? :D
