Are you Robin's money-chest?
I'm not sure how your clues fit, but it's the only thing left that Robin can interact with (except the fire, which IS like a hungry beast, but I don't think Robin can fill the fire).
I am like a hungry beast
I will hold take all that I am fed, from this feast...................................................................... presumably because you can fill it with money.
Fill me before you depart ................................................................................................. yes, Robin can't leave with too much money
But be wary, and never be too kind of heart............................................................................ yes! Robin needs at least a little bit of money before he goes!

I'm not sure how your clues fit, but it's the only thing left that Robin can interact with (except the fire, which IS like a hungry beast, but I don't think Robin can fill the fire).

The clues, like a hungry beast, I will hold all that I am fed, like a feast - your money bag will hold as much money as you can.
Fill me before you depart, but weary never be too kind of heart - is a reference to when I played Conquest of Camelot and because I was too nice to the people I met by giving too much coin, I ended up dead-ended in the game! (Which I doubt can happen in Longbow, since you can return to the cave, unlike Camelot, when you leave - you can't return until you complete all the quests so you can dead-end in Camelot).

Sorry, I'm just trying to avoid situations like the time when Tawm guessed that I was the sand in QfG2 ... in something like two or three guesses. (Yeesh).
