So more than 3 in a series... and quest in the title...
So that could give us:
King's Quest, Police Quest, or Quest for Glory
You just did Police Quest.
So I am going to rule that out (for now).
Since we all know Rath loves Quest for Glory... I am going to start there.

I replied to Tawm's post about "Here is a thing called the internet". I know there's a thing called the internet, and apparently, it hates me.

So Quest for Glory 4 - are you found specifically in one of the villages (rather than out in the wild)?
