Well, that leaves the inn and what's his name's place.... that I can think of.

Are you located somewhere in the Inn?

Are you in the Burgomeister's office?

(He's usually the only one there -- except for one day when he's locked up the gypsy, Davy) ;)

(To be fair, it might not be in the jester's room... he just has the most noticeable stuff... so that's why I started there, rather than the tavern area or the hero's room) :D

I think those are garlic. There's a whole garlic theme from what's her name (mother/wife) from the tavern. She puts garlic in everything.

 Yes I am! I was expecting a few more rounds of narrowing it down.

So was I! Of all the "Who am I" threads, I thought this one was my best chance of getting it right, because it's from QFG. Oh, well.

(The next time I get a chance for a "Who am I" quiz, I'll make it the forest in QFG1). :P

 As soon as we narrowed it down to the inn - I assumed it was in the Jester's room. And once I looked again what was in there - I thought, "I bet it's the smile face rug, because it's an iconic symbol."

I'm from the Worcester area where the most recognized version was invented. It also serves as the mascot for minor league Worcester Red Sox.

Hah, back in the 80s, I'd made the smiley face with a bullet hole and blood coming out of it in the forehead and used to wear it as a shirt ALL the time.

Looked similar to this (pardon the paint drawing lol)
Untitled.png
Certainly not an original idea, probably not even back in the 80s.

OK - ... I have something.

Definitely gonna give clues... because this one... is out there. This is either gonna go real quick or go way too long based on the clues.

The game, in many ways plays like Pitfall
But what you're looking for isn't in the game at all
You're here to rescue your lover
And you will find me on the cover.

There's a good chance you never played it
And when I learned of it, I was upset
Because it would seem
That this game crushed one of my dreams!

Did the smiley with blood on it originate with The Watchmen comic?

Given that it is "out there", the usual "Quest" question probably is a no, so:

Was the game released in the '80s?

Have you thought of putting this on the back of a leather jacket, pairing it with a pair of sunglasses, and going as The Terminator for Hallowe'en? ;)

Yikes. I have absolutely no idea what this is, or what Pitfall is, or how it crushed your dreams. I'm completely lost. So ...

Since I have no idea what Pitfall is,
Nor how it crushed one of your dreams,
I may as well drink a soda fizz
and sit beside one of the many mountain streams.

Therefore, my help is probably as needed
as a cactus in a monkey's pajamas,
perhaps it's time that I conceded
and went on holiday in the Bahamas.

:D

Seriously, though ... are you a game that was made in the 90s?

(I didn't play ANY Sierra games until about 1991-2, so I wouldn't have a clue about anything before that. Sorry.)

*puts on a dunce cap and goes to sit in the corner* ;)
