Are you in one of the offices?
I should just ask the generic question - but this seems specific.notbobsmith wrote: ↑Mon Dec 30, 2024 12:28 am It's an old story

I don't know if you'd say a flesh eating witch is living there in peace... nor the dwarf, who robs you if he catches you... and the dragon, well, he's content with his horde, but he took it from the original King... so that's not very peaceful.Rath Darkblade wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2024 4:47 pm You could be right, Tawm. But I'm just confused: there's a dragon, an elf and a dwarf (I think?), a flesh-eating witch (IIRC), and other mythological creatures, all living in Daventry ... and all in peace (apparently). Why not a vampire?
Come to think of it, the only mythological creatures I haven't seen in Daventry yet are ... *counts* a werewolf, a vampire bat, a kraken (there may have been one, though I may be mistaken?) and others. So, again: why not a vampire?
Well, OK. When I say "all in peace", I mean "they're not tearing out each others' throats". That's also peace ... of a kind ...Tawmis wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2024 9:50 pmI don't know if you'd say a flesh eating witch is living there in peace... nor the dwarf, who robs you if he catches you... and the dragon, well, he's content with his horde, but he took it from the original King... so that's not very peaceful.Rath Darkblade wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2024 4:47 pm You could be right, Tawm. And by the very nature of vampires, unless he's feeding on rodents, he's probably not living there peacefully either.

With those hints, I was sure you would be one of the simulacrums that the QfG hero (and friends) have to fight towards the end of Quest for Glory 3. Oh well.
Are you in KQ4?

Are you the vampire in King's Quest II?
An old story (Dracula), facing himself (in the mirror, but his reflection never shows).
The no one mentions it - I think this is a reference to the fact that no one mentions there's an effing vampire living in Daventry.
Is the Big Bad Wolf (KQ2) a werewolf?Rath Darkblade wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2024 4:47 pm Come to think of it, the only mythological creatures I haven't seen in Daventry yet are ... *counts* a werewolf, a vampire bat, a kraken (there may have been one, though I may be mistaken?) and others. I never thought of that, but you're right. Bipedal, sentient, speaks, taste for flesh ... he could be a werewolf. But a werewolf and a vampire in Daventry in the same game? Should we be panicking? Why haven't they joined forces and attacked the kingdom? It's practically defenseless.notbobsmith wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2024 11:06 pmIs the Big Bad Wolf (KQ2) a werewolf?Rath Darkblade wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2024 4:47 pm Come to think of it, the only mythological creatures I haven't seen in Daventry yet are ... *counts* a werewolf, a vampire bat, a kraken (there may have been one, though I may be mistaken?) and others.
