I've never played it, myself. (But the way I see it, more installers, more traffic to the site!)

But I am afraid that the traffic is low enough these days that no one will notice. The Last Express has a pretty high reputation. It is an adventure by the guy who did Prince of Persia, Jordan Mechner.

not sure if this is the right place or not, but the blade runner installer, while it installs. the game crashes on startup (First got an error about 3d, then a box popped up saying I need at least 2mb video ram..lol) then I get the win 7 blade.exe has stopped working box...
diagnostic included below:

Collector should be able to take a look at that.

It sounds like the patch did not install. Look in the installed program list in the control panel for "BLADE.EXE custom database"

can't, already got the latest catalysts
if I set it to win95 compat mode and disable scaling, composition visual effects and set it to 640x480 and 256 color, I do not get the graphic 2mb ram popup... it still crashes to desktop though

I'll take a look at the shim I created, but remember that as I posted at the top of this thread, My ability to support these games is limited given that I know them far less than the Sierra games. Anything at this point will be hit or miss, especially since I do not have access to your system. You could try installing the Microsoft ACT to play with the whole range of compatibility fixes. If you do and you find something that works for your system, please report back what worked for you.

k weirdness... I tried some stuff with ACT... didn't work.. went back tot he blade exe comp and only disabled the bottom 3 (desktop stuff, scaling, etc) and did not set comp mode... ran it directly and now it is working.. do the ACT settings work outside of running it from the ACT console? if so it could have been the force 640x480x16 selection

With ACT you can set compatibility layers like what is in the compatibility dialog as well as individual fixes. Glad you got it working.

Don't have it and I am not familiar with it. Also, I would not be able to say if I could do a full HDD install of non-Sierra Multi CD games or not.

just a head up on my experience with the longest journey experimental... (I have the 4 cd version). Games seems to play great.. no loading screen issues or video issues.. the only thing I ran across is exiting.. it pops a box up (confirm yes/no) but you have no mouse control to click yes or no. Tab or arrow keys do not move the selection either so I have to end task it to exit (This is win 7 64bit)
