I already got them off of the SQ board. The hashes are different. Without built-in versioning information, it is not possible to determine how different they are from what we already had.

SCI Resource Viewer

Post by JhonnyJ »

Hello everyone! I am currently working on a project right now where I am at a standpoint. The SCI Resource Viewer has been great help in my cause. In short, I'm trying to edit some scripts of a Sierra game made in 1996. The game never used a "standard" SCI for it's build. It was very unique. The SCI resource viewer however, is one of the few tools floating around that can view the majority of every aspect of the game I'm playing around with.

What I need is to ultimately speak with the person who designed the SCI Resource Viewer. If that's possible...A name would at least point me in a direction. I would like to obtain the source code to find out how the tool opens/views these files.

I am aware that there are tools currently out that are suppose to allow you access to editing SCI (SCI Studio....etc). I've scoured the net trying to find one that will work with this game with no luck. The SCI Resource Viewer appears to be my only hope. Any info on who developed it...etc, I would appreciate it.

He has disappeared from the scene. He re-emerged a year or two ago. but said the source no longer exists.
