Good job.
The shine on the sword tip is nice - you'd expect it to go "ting!"
Hmm ... this costume makes him look a bit like a pretend-medieval knight.
He has the costume, sure, but no armour under it. If he was in combat against a
real knight ... but we won't go into that.
The helmet is, hmm ... problematic. There are very few real-life winged-helmets that were actually used in combat; there was always a risk that someone might use a lasso (yes, they were used in combat situations sometimes) to snag one of the wings, pull the rope tight, and thus pull you down off your horse. If the wings on the helmet were large (for instance, the
big-horn helmet that Teutonic knights are supposed to have worn), the risk would be much higher. Once a knight is pulled down off his horse, he can easily be finished off with one strong spear-thrust - or held for ransom.
That's not to say that warriors didn't wear horned/winged helmets.
This helmet, dating to the third century BC, was found in a grave in Romania. It has a high-mounted crest formed as a bird, possibly an eagle or a raven, with large wings spread out to either side. The crest is very clever; the wings were articulated at the body so that they would have flapped up and down as the wearer moved.
But most helmets didn't have decorations like this, unless they were made purely for parades and things like that - not for combat.
That said, there are a few medieval illustrations of knights wearing outrageous decorations on their helmets -- probably for jousts. I found one of a knight wearing
a pink mermaid on top of his helmet. Here is one with
a fire-breathing dragon, and others with
an eagle or (bizarrely)
two fish.
Of course, in fiction, you can be as inventive as you like.
Winged/horned helmets are typically used to portray the Vikings (although real Vikings hardly ever wore them - blame Wagner).
And, of course, Asterix wears one all the time.
Nowadays, they cost $7 apiece ... dratted inflation.
