(I admit this is much funner, and closer to Madlibs, not knowing how this is going to turn out!)

POLICE QUEST: IN PURSUIT OF THE LAST DONUT (WITH SPRINKLES)

Sonny Bonds was sitting at his desk writing a report on the recent theft of a [DOG]. He went to get a donut (with sprinkles) and discovers... the last donut (with sprinkles) was gone!

“Who took the last donut (with sprinkles)?” Sonny shouted [IMMEDIATELY]. “There were [770] in the box this morning and I never got one!”

Officer [DAVE] said “It wasn’t me. Maybe you should ask Det. Watts.”

“I get [YELLED] for everything just because I used to be the Gremlin!” Laura says. “Well it wasn’t me. I even got them from [BOB'S BIG SAUSAGES] this morning.”

Just then Chief Whipplestick [GINGERLY] walks into the room. Some sprinkles are clearly visible on his [CAT]. “What’s all the commotion?” he asks.

“[GOODNESS GRACIOUS ME!],” Sonny mutters under his breath. “Nothing, sir,” he says as he [CROSSLY] goes back to work.

The Guide said, "If you [ADVERB] head down to [VERB] the [NOUN] and [ADVERB] in their ear that you're looking for this for me - they may be able to help you find them quicker. However, to get their attention, you will need to [ADVERB] stand on the San Diego Pier and shout, "[EXCLAMATION]!"
