This item will be released on June 4, 2006. You may order it now and we will ship it to you when it arrives.
And the date has been shoved back 2 months... no surprise.

This item will be released on August 4, 2006.
And another bump. Now Dec 4th....

The covers look kind of dull, but as long as the contents are there, then I'm really excited!

So am I...

I am curious if it runs via Windows XP as the boxes state... if I can now begin to use FRAPS to capture the games...

Apparently you have missed out on the brew ha ha. The games are nothing more than the same games released years ago, but with DOSBox .63, not even .65, but .63. For no more effort than they put into these releases any number of people in the Sierra community could have released these games in a matter of weeks, not months, with better results.

NO XP COMPATIBLE WIN VERSION OF KQ6, dammit!!!

At least they will be good for all of those that do not yet have some of these games.

Well I don't have them all on CD, anyway. Besides, purchasing them shows support for these games... so high sales may show Sierra or VU (whatever) that these games are still in demand. Low sales would show that there's no interest in the games (as far as they're concerned since all they see are the numbers).

But regardless, some of these games I don't have on CD and will be glad to have them in that format - and show support for the games. :)

Yeah, I hope that they do well, too. I just wish that they had found someone else to do it for them that would have done a better job. They shipped them with the Low-Res version of one of the LSL games and one of the talkie games was shipped with the floppy version, instead. LSL7 is missing as well as some of the AGI games. The installer is apparently only a 16 bit installer, which means that a lot of people that upgrade to a Windows Vista PC will not be able to install these games. Shipping them with DOSBox could have been a way to future proof them, if done right.

NewRisingSun did a patch to combine the better graphics of SQ4 floppy with the CD version's speech. It would be nice if someone could do the same with the Hi-Res graphics of the Windows version with the DOS interpreter. Even if they didn't come up with new interpreters, they could have used a 32 bit installer with an easy way to upgrade DOSBox without knowing anything about DOSBox and shipped with complete series and used optimal versions of the games.

People have been receiving them. In fact there are starting to be support questions popping up on the Sierra forums.

They're out - I think available only online at the moment. You can even check ebay and they appear there.

I am still hoping they'll eventually land to the local retail shop...
