Is Al Lowe associated to the game (Troll's Tale, Leisure Suit Larry, etc)?

Uh, this will be wild.
Are you in Ultima II: The Revenge of the Enchantress.

If this is an Ultima game, I won't get it. I'm far too young to have played Ultima.
*looks it up*
But it can't be. According to Sierra Chest, Ultima and Ultima 2 were both released in 1983, but this game was released between 1985 and 1989. Phew. Details matter.
NBS, I narrowed it down to six games.
Two of them seem very unlikely, but I'll might ask about them just to be sure. But first ...
Was the game released in 1987?

Details matter. It was released on several systems, including Atari and Mac - in 1985.

I think you are making this a little more complicated than it is. 1980s game. Earth. Not modern day. Stand alone game.

OK - Codename: Iceman? It's stand alone. 80s. Earth. Not modern day.

Details matter, true, but wikipedia is also wrong. The list of Sierra games (
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_S ... ideo_games) says this game was released in 1989, but the Codename page (
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Codename:_ICEMAN) says March 1990.
So which one should I believe?
NBS, Are you in "Gold Rush!" ?
It's also stand-alone ... made in 1988 ... set on Earth ... not modern-day.
"You have died of taking too long to guess the darn game."

Like how long we took to get here?
All right - are you in the town somewhere, before Jerrod leaves to head out for the ol' Gold Rush itself?

Argh ... another game I've never played. So any questions I ask will have to be researched, and any answers I get won't help much.
This is no fun.
Are you something that kills Jerrod?
