I just went west, east, south, east, south and then finally north. In the final room of this maze, I entered a secret passage and I found myself in an ancient temple. During my journey through the maze, an animal attacked me.

The only cages I can think of from the top of my head are:

-Grimwald's cage in GK1
-Polly's cage in LB1
-exotic bird cage in EQ2
-Parsival/Hilda cage in GK2
-ceremonial snake in GK1
-snake cage in LB2 (Dr. Olympia Myklos's office)
-leopard woman in QfG3

But I don't remember the main character putting a cloth over any of them. Unless I'm having a mind slip...

BTW, these aren't guesses, just speculations.
