A lesson I learnt when people sent Gail Zappa death threats...
I have no words for how stupid that is. Never mind that it's an April Fool's joke, but ... death threats? For something so tiny? Yeesh.
Is there a way to identify and/or stop people like this? I've a feeling that law enforcement people look very dimly on death threats.

I'm sure that as vigilant as Gail was, she had taken all the necessary steps after receiving them.

I'm sure about that, too. It's just ... this shouldn't happen in the first place.
Tell you what: if the fake C&D letter asked you to change "Zappa" to "Zeppo" (i.e. Marx), or "Zippo" (a brand of lighters), then maybe Facebook, Twitter etc. would explode under the weight of all the stupidity, yes?

OMG what is going on?
(@self- what do you think? The guy needs money.)
He might not be getting paid for that last one since the donations go to the organization.

Probably because Tim turned 75 on the 19th. Sigh... I've been out of touch with Curry fandom since it moved to Facebook but a number of the girls had put together a birthday video for him.

Robert Holmes said that he just stumbled across this photo and did not mention his birthday.

Eeeeeeeeee! Will it be streamed somehow? Somewhere? It would be good to be able to see it.
Obviously I can't fly out to the UK whenever I feel like it! Besides the obvious question of cost, it would take me 30 hours just to get there.

Teehee I almost thought of going... checked it out. Entry to the convention is 22 GBP, but that just gives you right of entry, and then you're at a horror convention where you can buy all sorts of horror parafernalia. If you want to take part in the meet & greet, in the Q&A or get a signature, you will have to pay extra.
I don't do horror. Of all the special guests I only knew Meat Loaf.
Tim is wheelchair-bound since his stroke, he has paralysis on the left side. He won't be signing at the event due to this, but you can leave your item on the table and it will be returned to you. There'd better not be anything happening to my GK3 box!
Anyway, weighed a lot of pros and cons - and decided not to go for it. I may kick myself for it later, but due to the current circumstances...
