Hilda looked at her frog-like husband and said,".....

"Well, Harold, if you're a frog, you don't need shoes. And I'm staring to think we'll NEVER get ours fixed!"

"We can -CROAK- worry about the shoes -CROAK- later! I am a -CROAK- frog right now!" Harold exclaimed.

Prince Froglik, reverted back to a frog after Rosella's kiss, said....

"Nyah nyah nyah nyah nyah! You're a frog and I'm not!" He also gave Prince Froglik a raspberry.

Just then, they heard the sound of a horse-drawn cart. Up the road came a cart, bearing the legend "SAVE YOUR SOLES - COBBLER."

"Father!" exclaimed Rosella in delight. "I didn't think he'd be travelling this far today. It's rare he comes through the mountain pass."

"Wait," said Hilda. "Your father is the cobbler we've been travelling all this way to see?"

"No, but he is with two friends - a shoemaker he met on one of his travels, see there?"

And elderly man peeked around the wagon, "You're in need of shoes you say? I've got many talents! But I can't make shoes for frogs!"

"Can you mend shoes?" Hilda exclaimed. "And don't let Froglik's appearance fool you - he is but a humble mortal such as I, put under Rosella's evil spell!"

"Evil?" Rosella looked aghast.

Graham jumped off his wagon, "My good lady, I assure you my daughter..."

"...is evil incarnate!"

Whereupon Mahnamahnaman ripped off the King Graham disguise to reveal his truly ~EVIL~ shape. "I have you now, my pretty! You and your little shoeless friends, too! Bwa ha ha ha!"

So saying, he grabbed Princess Rosella and held her tight.

... and teleported away.

This left Harold, Hilda and Froglik looking at the old man, who quickly escaped in his cart.

Froglike looked at the pair, and with his froggy legs, leapt away before things got any stranger.

Hilda picked up Harold - who was still stuck in frog form and said...

"I will kiss you and love you and squeeeeeeze you-" she squeezed Harold - "and hug you and call you George!"

She giggled.

"Wait a moment," Harold croaked. "Our next door neighbor -CROAK- was named George! Hilda are you saying..."

Hilda's cheeks flushed red as she said...

"Oops."

"Harold, calm down, it's not what you think. I only hugged him because he helped fix the door hinges while you were at work. That's all that happened, I swear."

Harold croaked and said...

"<sigh> Fine," not entirely sure if he believed her but too concerned about his predicament to worry about it for the moment. "Somehow I have to find a cure." At that moment they heard a voice coming from the branches of a nearby tree.
