Alas, Zanthia was still dancing helplessly, thanks to Malcolm's tune. Fortunately, she had a spell-shield, and the fireball dissipated without doing her any harm.

"Dash it!" Brynn cursed, and manifested another fireball. He turned back towards the knights. "Now you stay back, else I'll be forced to broil you!"
