Does (or can) Adam do something incredibly stupid in EcoQuest?
Quest for Glory 5. Gnome Ann runs the inn where the hero stays, but Signor Ferrari owns the inn. One day, Gnome Ann begs the hero to go on stage and dance, to raise money so Signor Ferrari won't shut the inn down. The hero agrees. (This actually happens, and the hero dances in harem tights).
But when the hero gets to his dressing room before the show, the tights are gone, and the replacement costume is a "Sexy Maid" outfit, with the emphasis on sexy.
The hero point-blank refuses to dance in this ... thing. The inn runs out of money, Signor Ferrari calls in his debts, and turns the inn into a cart park.
Oh no! Now the hero has no place to stay. Even worse, he has no bed to sleep in, and no chest to keep his stuff in. Our hero is now homeless!
So, our he puts all his stuff in a bag .... but because there's so much stuff, our hero can't lift it. He leaves to get a Bag of Holding, but when he comes back, all his stuff is gone. The Thieves' Guild stole it and sold it off.
Oh no (again!) Our hero is now bankrupt!
So, he pawns his hero clothes, finds a barrel-with-suspenders, hitches a lift to Lost Wages, and joins Steve to sell apples ...
