I do love KODT!

These are back from around 1999 or 2000, where I used KODT art to tell my own story ... All of these are VERY MUCH based on our actual D&D games.

So, part 1 ... "I'm gonna kill the mage". "Me too." This is/was a real player, I take it? Little tip, Chris: never hurt the rest of your party.

Part 2 ... "Yeah, yo! We can take down Orcus Compton-style!" Um, what?! Did someone actually say that?

Um, again ... that guy at the end of the table keeps using "street-talk". "Word from the street, know what I'm saying? Word!" Er. I thought only people on TV spoke like that.

Was Chad/Brian really sleeping the whole time? Doesn't sound like a good player to me. But what do I know?

Part 3 ... oh dear. A shopping mall in the wizard's tower. That won't end well. And yes, people in D&D really make their own clothes. Weaving, spinning, etc.

Part 4 ... Chad stops snoring. What was wrong with Chad? I thought that a D&D session was for - y'know - playing D&D, not sleeping.

Part 9 (sorry - I've no idea about Star Wars) ... Adam the fearsome DM? Thanks, way to give away your secrets, Adam. "Priest good, fire bad!" "What?!"

"Cogg smash! Axe good, wall bad!" Uhm, half-orcs don't talk like that.

Part 10 ... oh dear. Is that Cogg's catchphrase now? "Axe good, [something else] bad"?

Part 11 ... Oh dear (again). "Good is good ... and bad is bad ... and ... what was Cogg saying?"

By the way, what's with that lady next to "Cogg"? She seems, er ... far too preoccupied with sex and double-entendres. (Reminds me of Nawar from Quest for Glory, only more so).

Part 12 ... (yay!) Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand I agree. What the &%*@ is going on here? *shrug*

That's Adam. We used to joke all the time. There's even a video where we did a parody of "The Real World" and called it "The Real Bored" and he played a "gangsta" in that too, talking the same way.
It was all out of character, but just for the sake of being silly.
Adam is the one who played Grayson the Fighter in Neverending Nights.

We used to joke that Chad had narcolyepsy. He's the same guy who played Alan the Astounding in Neverending Nights.

I've come up with an idea where I read my D&D adventure notes like a story, in hopes of maybe snagging more patreons... - and talking about what I did during each session as a DM and such...

Created a new youtube channel for it, because I don't have enough things I am trying to do creatively at once.......

So Adam, who we all used to joke was gay (but he's not really, just how he'd act sometimes...)
And even in that video, we make fun of Chad always falling asleep.

Sounds interesting! What sort of thing would they go shopping for? Armour, weapons, food, adventure implements (e.g. rope, caltrops, 10-foot pole) etc.? Or ... other things?

Female Adventurer: Does this new armour make me look fat?

Male Adventurer: Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! *runs away*

Female Adventurer: Heh. Screams and runs away. Not bad. Most males have much worse self-preservation techniques.

Not that dated. I remember the Metallica vs. Napster kerfuffle, but then, I'm ancient.

My normal Tuesday game session I DM for... two players couldn't make it so I didn't push the story forward to much and came up with a little "side quest/event"...

And it was a lot of fun and very lethal. 51 freaking sessions with this group. I love it.

Just wondering: how big are sphinxes in comparison to humans/humanoids? I had a look at the Monster Manual, but it doesn't say. Is there a way to measure (for instance) how tall or wide they usually are? Are they (say) as big as a house? As tall as the ceiling in a cave? As tall as a 100-year-old tree in the forest?

I'm only asking this so I know roughly how to depict mine. Can she blot out the sun in the forest? Can her head reach the ceiling in her cave? etc.

You can make'em whatever size; but for example, the gynosphinx is considered a Large monstrosity and a D&D table is -

Size..................Space...........................Examples
Tiny................. 2½ by 2½ ft. .................Imp, Sprite
Small................5 by 5 ft. .....................Giant Rat, Goblin
Medium.............5 by 5 ft. ......................Orc, Werewolf
Large..............10 by 10 ft. ....................Hippogriff, Ogre
Huge..............15 by 15 ft. ....................Fire Giant, Treant
Gargantuan .....20 by 20 ft. or larger ........Kraken, Purple Worm

OK. So (say) a Tarrasque would be Gargantuan, I take it? What about full-grown Dragons - are they Huge or Gargantuan?
