I get dizzy very easily with those things. If the camera's still, I'm OK, but as soon as it moves... That's regardless of whether it's first- or third person, fish-eye or panorama lens, eye-high or at the ceiling, level of quality of the backgrounds etc. I also have that problem with hand-held camerawork. Never could watch more than five minutes of Blair Witch Project. In Jack The Ripper the camera follows your mouse cursor, so if you're enthusiastically rubbing the touchpad hoping to find a hotspot, the camera shoots all over the place.

I've been playing Rock 'n' Roll racing on my SNES. :)

Olaf is dominating the race! :D

Yeah, my brother and I used to play that game all the time. We got pretty good at it too.

I think I usually played Cyberhawk.

Yep :D It's great, and definitely more fun with 2 players. I have The Lost Vikings as well. 2 of Blizzard's original games... before they were called Blizzard. :)

I like your avatar, looks very original Nintendo-ish. Deadpool is one of the characters I like to use in Marvel Ultimate Alliance.

I'm giving Shivers another spin on my Windows 7.
Yes, allright, the music doesn't work, but when I checked my DeviantArt account I had like 50 personal messages from a guy who loved that game and the screenshot comics I made from it, and he asked me if I could do them for all "wrong pot" and "capture" as well.

AAAND I got the sound to work this time! Yay!

The music doesn't work? If you are playing it on your Win7, I assume that it is 32-bit Windows. Did you use the installer from here?

Remember when, last time I installed Shivers, the sound didn't work? I had installed it using compatibility mode (for Win 95 IIRC). After that I used your installer but unfortunately it gave me the same trouble, so instead of recording all the Ixupi scares and uploading those to Youtube, I made recordings of them and used my recording software to extract all the "scare" frames, then make comics out of them.

This time I used Win 98 compatibility; whether that did the trick I don't know, and to be honest I doubt it... can't explain why it would work now. Although the loading times are a bit long and I need the CD to play, it works! It works! :D

I seriously spent twenty minutes on the theatre door.
Now that I've got the sound working, I'm making a compilation of the Ixupi scares, and by request more of those comics. That means I need my screen recorder running. I use BB Flashback Express, normally a very helpful programme. But combining it with Shivers has screwed the game a bit. For some reason, my savegame was corrupted after the manieth Ixupi video I took: the cursor wouldn't show up, no matter what I tried. Started a new game, repeat story. Started a third game: tried entering the theatre, but the doors wouldn't open. I double-check my notebook and compare it several times with the game's files; no dice.
Start a fourth game, tried entering the theatre, couldn't open the door. Again, triple check, still doesn't work.

Looked at my companion, but it wasn't much help.
Checked Rudy's walkthrough;
I mixed up west and east.

So that's one problem down, one to go.

Done with Gold Rush, am trying Sanitarium. After I made it through the pumpkin patch of doom (love the idea of fighting with a scythe but well, on a touchpad...) I loaded instead of saved. :x

I have several games installed - not really playing any of them.

I have Kyrandia 1, 2 and 3 I got from GoG.com eons ago - been meaning to replay those.
I have Moebius installed - barely did the intro (just to see the game).
Blue Force is the one I have been playing - every blue moon, if that.
I plan on trying out Codename: Iceman again. I hate that I never beat that game.

Been playing the Blackwell series. Got the first four games off GOG, and the fifth recently came out, so I'll wait for a sale on it.

Otherwise, I haven't been playing much. It's kind of difficult to play most games with a broken hand (especially when that broken hand is your dominant one) since the majority of titles necessitate the use of both hands.

I guess you could do point and click games left handed.

Reached the Aztec gods section of Sanitarium, and it jams about every five minutes.

Finished Sanitarium, pretty decent.
