My wife would just have to deal with it. Or buy me some nice shelves.

And that's where the majority of my things are indeed stored in my own little office.

Thats why I love my Fiance' so much she is very supportive and knows how important it is to me. She helps me organize them and keep an updated list.

 That is awesome. My wife does that with my comic collection, which is what I collect. (And she's been very kind in helping me get, and organize them - including purchasing some VERY expensive ones just to help nail down my collection!) Other than the classic Sierra games, I don't collect other old games - and thankfully I was into Sierra way back in the day, that there's only a few games I needed. (I don't collect ALL the Sierra games; just the core classics).

Space Quest I EGA was the one that eluded me forever... and through my own error, I ended up with three copies of them, all three different versions.

I highly recommend this catalog software.
http://www.collectorz.com/game/
I use their book, game, movie, and music catalog programs. They have trial versions to download and try out. Tawm, they have a Comic collector too.
p.s. I have no financial interest in this company. :)

Tawmis,

I was the same way meaning I started with just Core sierra games. Then I started to pick up other games that I used to own way back when (non sierra). And before I knew it I was just collecting vintage PC games period. Just became an obsession for me.

Question though? There are 3 version of EGA SQ? I know small black box and then second edition box but what is the 3rd? Not the reverse photo box correct?

Dotkel,

How does that software work for older PC game collectors??

Ah, sorry - was not clear. While I landed with both BOX versions; what I meant is the version of the software.

It works great. They also sell hand held barcode readers that work with all their software. I have the cheapest one and it works fine. I also have tons of older PC games. Download the trial version and give it a look. It comes with a sample database so you can see how it will look.......and it's customizable.

Nice! I unfortunately already put everything into EXCEL.

Each TAB at the bottom represents the Comic Box.
Each page of said tab has all the comics in those boxes.

I believe you can import from other formats, including Excel. They also have versions for hand-held devices.

I'd do it, but 50 bucks to pay for it (what I already have in Excel) is a wee bit much for my blood, these days. :|

Yeah there Vintage Game Database is spotty at best. When I move I might catalog everything in there and help get there Db Updated with proper OS, Requirements, Barcode, etc...
