I've said this in the "Other Games" forum - but still battling my way through Legend of Kyrandia: Book 1.

I want to play all three in a row. I have clearly forgotten some of the utter randomness of the game (and forgotten the hell that was the caverns in Book 1)...

First hurdle overcome, it had to install in compatibility mode. My usually quiet laptop sounded like an old Solex (no not the Dutch musician), so if the Samsung explodes while I start it up, it was nice knowing you.

Game runs: spent an hour installing, five minutes playing and even advancing a bit, but had to quit over nausea.

Now to start three hours of fanning.

Tried again today during the day, with more distance from the screen, and it seems to go better.

Never played Broken Sword, myself.

I already got killed twice. :) The controls are a bit tricky (movement is always in relation to the surroundings, while I'd prefer it if they'd be in relation to the protagonist)

There's something up with the smilies here, some don't work anymore.

I just actually retrieved a key from a locked door with the newspaper trick in Broken Sword 3. That you'd do that in a novice game like Phantasmagoria I can understand, but... geez. Okay, not like Broken Sword is very difficult so far.

First time I heard of the Paper Key Retrieval Trick was in a cartoon, with a dog doing that and he said "I've seen this in a movie once." I wonder when it first occurred.

Finished Broken Sword 3. Maybe I should've played the first two before this one. Game was pretty OK up to the point where I ended up solving the wolf/goat/cabbage puzzle, it went downhill from there and I don't think I understood the ending. Or the mechanics.

I'm confused. What wolf/goat/cabbage puzzle? :? But then again, I've played the first two games and not this one. ;)

A farmer is on one side of the river with a wolf, a goat and a cabbage. He needs to take all three to the other side. But he can only carry one of the three items safely across at a time. He can't let the wolf alone with the goat, or else the goat gets eaten, and he can't trust the goat unsupervised with the cabbage. How does he take them all across?

(The Broken Sword version has the story about Horus who has to take a murderer, the brother of the victim and a witness across to the Tribunal Of Justice and can't leave the suspect alone with either one of them. It stipulates you only have seven crossings and the countdown between the crossings is very, very dramatic. First Crossing!!!)

Am replaying GK3.
Yes. Again. First BIK pretty much chucks me out of the game (Live... Forever...).

Well, I was bored the other night and powered through KQ1 AGI (and recorded it in DOSBox) figured I'd do a "Let's Play" (or more of a commentary during play  ) and I did the same thing with King's Quest II (AGI). KQ3 I may wait on doing - because that game is murderous (to me), because of Manahahahahahanananan. Or however you spell that bastard evil Wizard's name.

But still playing Kyrandia 2 also.

 Manhahahahahanananan always cracks me up. ;) It always reminds me of Nanny Ogg's travels abroad and one of her letters home - in which she describes having a "banananana dakry" (footnote: Nanny knows how to start spelling "banana", she just doesn't know when to stop). ;)

Yeah, I am the same way with Manahahahahananan.

I just know him as "Oh $#!+"

SQ6. Scifi doesn't really have much appeal to me - maybe with the language barrier I'm missing a lot of jokes - although I enjoyed the logic puzzle with the Data Recorder. Solved a puzzle by accident.
This far the main problem with the game is pixel hunting, it's very very frustrating.
