Was that GK1's Toussaint Gervais at Stellar's funeral? Nice touch!

The datacorder puzzle is definitely my favorite part of SQ6. I really didn't care for it for the most part. I have, many, many issues with it. It's also a game that's just plain abusive to the player: you get insulted if you do the wrong thing, just look at things, or even if you do the right thing.

Now that it's over I think I'll have to agree - the humour isn't mine, a lot of the references were probably out of my league and there was a lot of stuff that's just plain gross. Sort of painful that it bashes KQ6 the way it does, as that game is a lot better in many ways. But I do love logic puzzles. Reminds me I still got stacks of books with them.

The grossness is among those many issues. Part of it is the art style. At 640x480, 256 colors just isn't enough (especially if they have to save some of those colors for sprites and the GUI). That means there's a whole lot of gritty-looking dithering, even on what should be a shiny clean screen (e.g. the ship). KQ7 had the same problem. However, SQ6 also just had completely unappealing locations. From the initial planet to the brig to cyberspace to the body, almost everything is just dirty, broken-down, or just plain icky.

SQ4. I've vowed not to look at a walkthrough and my death count is running rather high.

Ahoy there mates! I'm running through the "new" Quest for Glory 2 remake. I be impressed with how close the graphics be to the original.

I always hated waiting for the blooming eagle!? I can deal with the wizard, but random essential item droppage is beyond me.

"RATS ASS" or Alt+D (depending on the version) > Then "GET OBJECT" > Enter > "9" > Enter.

Saved at one point and when I restarted there was that zombie dude that screams for the droid as soon as you walk on the screen in every adjacent room. Is that a coincidence? Sure was annoying.

Bummer, It seems like the zombie should only be at one location at a time and he moves around the map in a circle. What is your current score?

I was going to resort to the ALT D trick - but the version I was running did not have it. Is "RATS ASS" another way to enter debug mode? (Moot now since I finally beat the game, but curious...)

One or the other depending on the version you have.

I got out of that pickle and managed to get on the spaceship.
