Looks like something in Shadows of Darkness to me, but I can't place exactly where. Is it in the castle?

It's not in the castle, but I'll guess it's just outside the castle. I'll say that it's in the screen where you come back with all the rituals, and Katrina waves her hand which opens the door, and a cutscene later, we're all off to the Dark One's Cave!
