Interesting. I just find it fascinating how games were put together back in the day.

This is how I remember it looking. I seem to remember it being in 16 colors, though I could be mistaken.

It very well might have been an EGA version played with a CGA card.

I will agree with Collector. Try Lighthouse; I am actually curious what you will think of it. (Note: I never was able to finish it, myself! One of the few games I want to go back on and finish).

If you do choose Lighthouse, keep your save games. They can be added to the site.

Here's another vote for Lighthouse. I'm also curious to hear your impressions of it.

Just to throw it in here - I have decided, I am probably always going to vote Gold Rush last. (Despite me, trying to save your time and prevent you from playing Phantasmagoria 2)

I figure Gold Rush should probably be last, because it's like 2.75 games; because it has three completely different routes to go; and each route requires different things. So there's a specific point where the game is the same in the beginning - until you decide which way you're going to travel. Then it is definitely three different games; but then it merges all back, once you arrive. So it's almost like it's three games, but since the beginning and the end have the same areas; it's not quite three different games. :D

So if you're going to do the complete play through, like you have been doing after each game; then I can imagine you'd do each route completely.

So it's unanimous: 3 votes for Lighthouse. Like Myst only harder. Should be interesting.

I can do that, but why would you need them?

When the times comes, maybe I'll put the first route that I'll do up to a vote too.

Why?

So for example, what I did is I made multiple folders and multiple saves for Codename: Iceman so that if someone was stuck - they could literally restore from one of my save games and continue. Or if they just wanted to get past the sub sequence, restore to the game that's just past that part, etc. It's a nice thing to offer players who may get stuck or something, for those more difficult games.

All of my save games were for the Windows version, so are worthless for downloads these days.

Got it. I'll make the files available when I'm done.

You should be able to zip the save games and just attach them in your Lighthouse thread when you're done. :)

Conquests of Camelot
Conquests of the Longbow
Freddy Pharkas: Frontier Pharmacist
Gold Rush
Heart of China
