Why you gotta bring back those old memories?
It is a nightmare that I always have when upgrading this board. It is why I always do it from a copy.

Hah! It's good that it happened to my forums then so you could learn for SHP!

Better from your old forum
for SHP than
from a nightmare here.

Because the site is only HTTP, not HTTPS. Don't let it redirect to HTTPS.

As Collector said, the site only uses HTTP - by default most browsers auto to HTTPS for security reasons.
What you may need to do (and I've only needed to do it once and it remembers) - is put:

Depending on the browser.

I wasn't sure where else to post this question, so here it goes:
In reviewing some of my old posts, I used the "Quick Links > Your Posts" feature. However, the list it that returns is not a list of my individual thread posts (like some other forums will or used to display), but instead it lists the topic pages and one must still manually search through them.
It's good to know which topics they are in (narrows it down quite a bit), but could the individual thread posts show up as search results instead of the topics in which they are found?
(I did try using my username in the search box, but that only works if someone else quoted my name in a reply in THEIR post; again, while helpful, it doesn't capture all of my posts as I don't sign my name to most posts.)
Just curious if it's even possible or worth the hassle to implement such a change.
Thanks for your time, Collector.

After the last upgrade I did not have time to also upgrade the style. Any features in this version of phpBB that are missing or broken is most likely because of the outdated skin, such as the broken breadcrumbs navigation. I simply currently do not have the time to update it. You could try switching your theme to Prosilver.

Changing the theme to prosilver didn't make a difference, resulting in the same list of topics, not threads. So, I changed back to the SierraClassic theme (always a winner in my book).
However, I didn't realize that you can perform an advanced search of the forum to look for a particular author. THAT result DOES display the individual threads postings, which is what I had hoped to find.
Thank you for your help and sorry to bother you, Collector!

Does anyone know if there's something the matter with the SHP forums? I'm puzzled.
In the past two days, whenever I try to load the SHP forums, they load fine - but I also get this message:
- Is this an error?
My question is simple: is this an error, or even something for us to be concerned about?
I've just seen that this could be an SSL issue (since Avast is thinking this website is HTTPS). All right - but then, that issue's been around for a long time, and I never got a warning, until the past two days. So, has anything happened in the past two days that may have caused this?
Thanks for your time, Collector!

Nope. It is just you. The site is HTTP, not HTTPS.

Well, at least now it's not just Rath who has seen a post disappear. It'd seem BBP has now as well.
