A guy in Uruguay, Fede Alvarez, made a Youtube video about giant robots invading the capital. The movie is a little over 4 minutes long and costed him 300 bucks to make. Now he has a $30 million Hollywood deal! Check his short film out. You wouldn't believe how this guy could possibly make this, let alone for 300 bucks.

The video is really amazing... but somehow I really doubt it that he could pull this off with only 300 $ Maybe I'm just skeptic by nature, but it seems to me like there's a much bigger budget involved.

Well, if he already owned the software and did the work himself, the CGI part would not have cost him anything but time. Also, there is no film cost anymore.

But what about the extras? I counted at least thirty people in a scene, unless of course they're digital...

Free food and beer. It's amazing what people will do for freebies.
