Adventure Games: The Musical!

Does anyone else find it interesting how easily adventure games can get away with having musical numbers and songs? I've seen it done in a few other genres too (like in some Square RPGS,) but rarely do adventure games come under fire for it.

Anyway, I thought it might be fun to start a thread where we post up game songs that we like and want to share. There's quite a bunch out there, and you can also post up songs from other game genres too if you like. Or if even if it's not really a song, but a really, really, really great piece of music, that can count too.

I'll get the ball rolling with some of my favorites...

Curse of Monkey Island - A Pirate I Was Meant To Be
Gabriel Knight 2 - The Opera (video contains SPOILERS)
Sam and Max Season 1 - The War Song <-- my personal favorite

There is the Troubadour opening song after the credits of Conquests of the Longbow. Another reason that a talkie version would have been nice.

If ye try ta fight us, you will get a nasty whackin'!
If ya disrespect our singin', we will feed ya to a kraken!

 Genius. I wonder why they don't make them like that any more. ;)

Show Glottis the "Rusty Anchor" card (before he rushes off to gamble and get blotto ;)) and you'll see that song too! :)

Not to mention the poetry you can score from Olivia for it...

Another favourite:
Skeletons In My Closet - The 7th Guest.

And I love the theme song from Putt-Putt Saves The Zoo, which was also by The Fat Man. Just don't tell anyone.

Gonna stretch the adventure game rule a bit by bringing you another of my all-time favorite video game songs.

Portal - Still Alive (by Jonathon Coulton)

I love that game and that song. :D The humour was a great surprise. As was the fun physics (kind of). If anyone who normally only sticks to adventure felt like branching out a little, without too much of a shock to the sytem, that's a great game for that.

This isn't technically a musical number, since it's not sung by any of the main characters, but I love The Archaeologist Song from Laura Bow 2. It's hilarious.

Classics. I'd forgotten about the Archaeologist song.

KQ6's bone number reminded me of this version:

Monkey Island 2 - The Bone Song

If I recall, the order of the lyrics to that one change every time because it becomes part of a puzzle later on (so obviously, the lyrics never make sense.) But I'll always dig the skeletons' dance. They're just so enthusiastic!
