My claim to fame.

And how I am tied to Larry.
In 1989... 1990?... 1991?... somewhere around there - I had sent a picture to InterAction Magazine (or The Sierra Magazine, which ever it was called - I believe InterAction by this point) - of me posing as Larry in front of my computer where I had made a sign that said
"Leisure Suit Larry in Beautiful Beach Babes In Bikinis."
The folks of InterAction wrote me back - must have been within days - saying they loved the picture and decided to do a Leisure Suit Larry contest because of it. And asked my permission to use my picture with some... modifications.
I, naturally, said of course.
Here's the original picture (keep in mind this was in 1989-1991... I look nothing like this anymore in so many ways!)
And here's the articule that was printed in the InterAction Magazine...
So naturally I love LSL. There's a bond there.

It was cool - they even sent me a Leisure Suit Larry shirt - which might fit me now if I was like 18 years old... and not the old man that I am! But I kept the page of the article - now in my photo album - and I still have the LSL shirt too. Which is cool - because I don't think I have ever seen it anywhere since. (It's basically like the LSL1 game in the front) and the back says, "What do you want good graphics or bad taste?" Or something. I could dig it up and snap a picture.

Sadly with age I look a lot more like Larry than I care to admit.

I posted more pics of me in the "Faces Behind The Names" thread... quite a few actually. But none of the LSL shirt. I will dig up the LSL shirt (when I wake up) and snap a pic and post that in this thread.

Yeah. Not sure anyone would think it was dadgum awesome being "just like Larry!"

I can't tell if I am insulted or flattered... there's a conflict of NERD and then Matthew Broderick (who I actually loved in the movie LADYHAWKE... he played such a great character)...
Cute Larry Laffer - is that even possible?

One of the many, many reasons...
