Since I read in another thread that there are some fans of 24, I wondered about how many (and which ones) TV shows did you watch and like?

Currently, I'm seeing: Lost (waiting fro the 5th season), Brothers & Sisters 3rd, Six Feet Under 4th, Nip/Tuck 5th, True Blood 1st

What about you?

The series Life is extremely interesting - the lead character is unusual. I watch that.

I also - occasionally - watch House. (Only because of Hugh Laurie.)

I don't actually watch a huge amount of television, as I don't really have the time and a lot of the series currently showing fail to interest me. I was upset when the terrific fantasy series Moonlight was cancelled...

Mostly I stick to my rather extensive DVD collection. The complete Monty Python, Red Dwarf, Yes Minister/Yes Prime Minister, Blackadder, Midsomer Murders, Hercule Poirot series, Silent Witness, New Tricks, Waking the Dead (it's a bit melodramatic, but has some excellent bits), Wire in the Blood (very dark), most of the Jane Austen films except for the absolutely horrible Mansfield Park that somehow inserted a lesbian twist to the story, the four new Dr Who series, the BBC adaptations of Dickens (Bleak House, Our Mutual Friend, etc.), lots of Shakespare, great classic films, modern thrillers or dramas or comedies, and so on. I... er... do have rather a lot of DVDs.

Bones - One of the best shows on television right now. The writing is amazing - the characters are great (the chemistry is very real).

Supernatural - My current favorite television show.

There's a few others I'm sure (just woke up and not entirely functioning at the moment)...

Let me just put the keddle on for you tawmis :)

Bones - my favorite too at the moment.
Ghostwhisperer - a show that peeks my interest for the supernatural.
24 - who doesn't like that one? lol

I knew I liked you for a reason! :)

But how do you not watch Supernatural? :-)

But how do you not watch Supernatural?
Because it's not shown here - that's why, lol :D
Even though we get a lot of the US shows, we don't get all of them - at least not until years after.

Weird! Supernatural and Bones both came out roughly the same time... they're both on their... um, fourth season right? Well, in the US. So which season are you on for Bones right now?

Just thought of another one that's on ShoTime that I watch...

DEXTER - For those that can afford pay channels - Dexter alone makes it worth paying to have the channel... the show is so well written and the guy who plays Dexter is so dead on...

It's Fall again, so here's what I am and will be setting my VCR for:

Heroes
Smallville
My Name is Earl
Doctor Who
Dexter
The Simpsons
Family Guy
South Park
Lost
Reaper

I've been aware of Supernatural and have heard good things. It just struck me as one of those Buffy rip-offs that wouldn't be around very long when I first saw the previews years ago. When I'm done with the other shows, I'll see about making time for it.

I have absolutely no idea - I think the network doesn't even know, lol.

Oh, we also have Dexter - can't say it's THAT good, although it's interesting to watch it from a mr. Nice Guy serialkillers side :P

Thanks for reminding me!

Heroes - Another one I watch. Although I was disappointed with the fate of the guy who did the sound thing (this season - don't want to spoil it for anyone who has not watched it or may not be in the US). I had an interest in the character because he was on the show Veronica Mars, which I loved. And since "Elle"/Veronica Mars was on Heroes I was hoping they'd be on the show together for some time.

My Name Is Earl - I don't watch it religiously. But when I do it's always hilarious.

Reaper - How the heck did I forget this one? Some of the greatest comedy on tv right now is on this show!

As for Supernatural - the first season is sort of like a Buffy thing... but it's not just vampires and demons - they put a lot more depth (and this is saying something, as I actually loved Buffy also) - but once the first season comes to an end, the rest of the seasons are very, very, very story driven - to the point that I am actually bummed there isn't just the occassional random monster anymore.

Supernatural is a very fun show. The two brothers have a perfect chemistry.

It's one of the few shows ever that I'd give a 10 out of 10. Seriously. There hasn't been a single bad episode - and they're on their fourth season.

Christ - now I know which show that is. Sheesh, it was called something entirely different here, so I didn't make the connection until you mentioned the brothers  So, yeah - liked that one too a whole lot.

Same goes for Veronica Mars - she's just - cool 8-)

 about Supernatural.

As for VERONICA MARS... yes, I loved that show. I tried to get on there as an extra since it's filmed like 10 miles from where I live. :)

I have the first season of Supernatural, but I have yet to see it.

By the way: only another fan of Lost... only one

@Datadog: tell me, are you for Jack or for Locke or for another character? I'm a big fan of Sawyer! (and Ben) :P

I used to be a fan of Lost. USED to be. Until the statue with three toes thing. Then I said, "I'm out. They're making this up as they go."

Have they even explained the numbers yet? The biggest hype of the show when LOST started and four (?) seasons in and there's nothing to explain the numbers that keep coming up. I bailed out.

I refused to even watch that movie that JJ Abrams did just because of how disappointed I was in LOST.
