KQ6 Color Problem

I recently purchased the King's Quest Collection via Steam and I finally installed it on my computer. I run Windows 7 64-bit. I had color problems with KQ5 until I reinstalled the game, then it was fine after that. However, when I went to play KQ6, the color problem returned. Random pixels are odd colors that are completely wrong, and the icon bar at the top appears to be a negative of what it should be. It is set to run in DOSBox. What can I do to fix this?

The problem is the ancient version of DOSBox that comes with the collection. The DOSBox Patches for the 2006 VU release should work for the Steam release.
