Sound issues SQ Collection 2006

I have had the 2006 collection for many years now, but never really tried to play them until just recently.
I found your site here after doing a search for a newer version of DOSBox.
I have subsequently downloaded the new versoin of DOSBox, and your patches.
However, I noticed that the game plays with MIDI sound. After looking around, I found the resource.cfg file, and swtiched it to Soundblaster, so I can play the game with the sounds that I remember from when I played them back in the 90's.
I fired up SQ1, and things seem to go good except that the game seems to struggle with the opening credits, the sound slows down, and crackles a bit.
I don't beleive it is because my laptop is not fast enough to emulate the 16bit DOS environment properly, as it is a 6 month old Core i7 with 4 GB DDR3.
I was wondering if anyone has seen these issues when trying to use SB sound, as the MIDI sound seems to run alright, and has anyone got DOSBox.cfg recommendations.
Ps, I love what you guys are doing here at this site. They just dont make games like they used to, and by getting these classic games to play on modern PCs is really a wonderful thing.
