Roland MT-32 Glory!!!

Post by joebro »

Just got my brand-spankin' new (actually used) MT-32 module and hooked it up. WOW!

I grew up with Sierra games my favorite of which was the Quest for Glory series. Lots of fond memories. For a nice nostalgia trip, I like to fire them up with DOSBox (and the help of the Sierra Installers - thank you for those). I can't remember how many times I have imported my fighter character.

Anyway, playing the games with the MT-32 blasting is like playing them for the first time. Just wanted to share my exuberance.

Keep the classics alive! :D

Of the QfG games, QfG2's MT-32 track is the most impressive. The game should not be played without it. It may not be as good, but those without an MT-32 should install Munt.

Totally. The Trial By Fire soundtrack on the MT-32 just blows you away. I was surprised when I heard the background sounds, like bird chirps, when playing So You Want To Be A Hero. Just awesome! I love how the MIDI message pops up on the MT-32 display corresponding to the game you're playing.

Hope everyone had an enjoyable 4th of July.
