I think it has something to do with Quicktime... that's the error when I say view details...

Try deleting the QuickTime files in the game's base:

3DViewer.dll
Indeo4.qtx
qd3d.dll
QD3DCustomElements.q3x
QD3D_IR2.q3x
QuickTime.qtp
QuickTime.qts
QuickTimeMusicalInstruments.qtx
QuickTimeVR.qtx
rave.dll

It started music - but errored out again. I think I need to reinstall my Quicktime player on my computer. Just tested it and it's acting funky.

Dern it. Reinstalled Quicktime to the latest version and rebooted and still the same error. :-/

And you did remove the above files from the QfG5 folder?

Aye, removed them - and tried it. Still the same error. Reinstalled Quicktime, same exact error.

Er - doesn't one of my screen shots show the files removed?

Somehow I missed the screenshot of the folder. I was paying more attention to the error messages. Try downgrading your QT.

Hrm. Where would I get an older version of Quicktime? I usually just go to Quicktime's website... do they have older versions for download?

Isn´t Quicktime 3 included on the QfG5 Dragonfire CD?

Try going to Old Version.com. They probably have the QT versions you'll need.

Yes, but only an installer. If you install it, it will be installed on your system, not just for the game. My QfG installer will place the QT3 files in the game's folder so the game will use that version and your system can use the latest.

I never tried the old versions of Quicktime...

So I actually never got this working.

Okay - I want to try to get this working. So how does the installer grab QT3 files and put them in there to use without installing QT3?

(Or whatever version of Quicktime...)
