Will be released this Saturday September 18 at 4PM eastern time. The new free download also includes the upgraded episode 1 (improved walking, option to chose long/short narrations etc..). Reportedly episode 2 contains far more actual gameplay, new locations, characters etc...

They also released a trailer yesterday.

I have not yet downloaded TSL. When they release new chapters, are the chapters seamlessly integrated, or are they "separate" games that you have to install and run one at a time? I would much rather wait until all episodes were done and play it as a single seamless game, if that's what it's intended to be (since it's all under the "TSL" heading)...

Two downloads will be made available. The main download contains both the upgraded episode 1 and episode 2 (around 800MB), for those who have not downloaded the first episode yet. The other will be just episode 2 with the episode 1 patch. There may be a third download, a patch for Windows 7 users.

The original Windows 7 patch remains the same as ever - if you installed it before you won't have to install it again for later episodes.

It may be a bit before we have the standalone installer that just installs Episode 2 and patches Episode 1 - our main focus has been getting both of them all patched up and ready to go, so at least initially it will only be the Episode 1 + Episode 2 full install. There's no need to uninstall Episode 1 if you already have that installed on your computer before installing this full build as it will just overwrite the necessary files and should pick up and start running just fine - just be sure to point it to the same directory where you installed Episode 1 if it wasn't the default.

The Episodes are all started individually from within the game, but there won't be like a unique icon from each one, you just start up the game and then select which episode you want to play. The credits roll at the end of each episode and then you can return to the menu and pick a different one.

Less than 5 hours until launch! I just finished the episode an hour ago and must say it indeed contains far more (difficult) puzzles, more characters (some old, some new) and locations. You can now also chose between long or short narrations, the walking paths have been improved and Graham can now also run. I estimate there's about 20 inventory items. There's not as many cutscenes as episode One, but the big final cutscene will simply blow you away. A must-play!

I'm glad you liked it Rudy! How long did it take you to finish?

Four to five hours in the first run. Did a lot of roaming around, looking for clues to solve the puzzles. A flawless replay will take a good 2 hours I estimate.

How light-hearted is it compared to the first episode?

It is more lighthearted. I'm not going to give heavy spoilers but
the storm is over, sun shines, there's plenty of funny and colorful creatures, the puzzles are original and well-thought, there's many references to the original series and even to another Sierra series, and you really get into the actual gameplay. The conversations though are generally similar to episode 1 (long and dramatic) and the ending is dark too.

I've got it installed, but I've been way too busy to actually start it up. Hopefully soon.
