...does the attached scene ever appear in the Realm of the Dead in KQ6?

(I'm making a small update to SRF, and I'm almost 100% sure this background
doesn't appear in KQ6, but I thought I'd get a second opinion from the folks here just to be sure.)

A quick check reveals no. It's definitely an unused scene.

All right -- that's enough of a confirmation for me.
That scene as well as Shamir's unused portrait have been added to
the Misc. page. (I also made an addition to the KQ7 page, but it's pretty unimpressive compared to these two finds.)

I remember seeing that screen a while back with the SCI Viewer, and IIRC, I posted it here somewhere? I can't remember but it was definitely interesting to see another scene from the land of the dead! Nice collection you have there!

Thanks! I figured that someone might have discovered this scene earlier, since it's in KQ6 and difficult to overlook, but I don't recall seeing it posted anywhere.
(By the way, in the full-sized version of the screenshot, I noticed a formation off in the distance that looks vaguely like a jackal's head. A giant Anubis statue, maybe? It would sure fit in with the Egyptian pyramids in the first scene from the Realm of the Dead that appears in the game.)

Good eye!
It’s possible.
