Authenticity of walkthrough

While I was looking for HoC walkthroughs I stumbled upon this one
http://www.gamefaqs.com/pc/564612-heart ... /faqs/1503
It's a novelized walkthrough. The protagonist narrates his adventure sto a squadron mate, after he has finished the task and won the girl. It's very well-written and sophisticated, by a professional and not your average gamer/fan who just finished or loved a game.
At the bottom it says "copyright (c) 1991 by A. E. Williams."
I don't know who Williams is and it says nothing about belonging to Dynamix/Sierra or being a part of an official hint-book.
I wonder if anyone can tell if it's anyhow "official" or just a fan-made walkthrough like others in GameFAQs.
