Loved the Yoda outfit. Apparently it is never too early to dress them up as SW characters either...

I'll have to do this myself to my kids. Soon.

I'm going to write my own SW film. I'll call it...

*dramatic chords*

STAR WARS: THE BANTAM DENNIS!

*timpani and trumpets* ;)

Yes, follow the adventures of our hero, Duke Skychicken, as he tries to save the chicken-house from the machinations of the evil Darth Cockerel and his sinister spaceship, the Death Chook!

...and so on. *runs away* ;)

I'm just going to show my kids Episodes 1-6 in that order. That way, they don't stand the risk of being disappointed. Logically, if they watch the movies in episodic order, then the movies will actually get better and better, and they won't enter their adult years complaining about George Lucas raping their childhood.

I'm not too worried about them not experiencing the shock of "Luke, I am your father." Honestly, I think it's the worst kept movie secret ever - I knew it ten years before even knowing what the movies were. I can't even bother to put it in spoiler tags. Their big twist will instead be "OMG! Anakin's a bad-ass killer cyborg now! And he's blowing up planets!" You gotta admit - after seeing whiny Anakin in the first three movies, his transition to Darth Vader is going to blow their little minds. It's all about perspective!

Wow! - I never considered this. A guess I always figured the way that we experienced it was the only way to approach it. The movie quality es will only get better and better viewed in numerically-ascending order (at least until Empire :)). The only sticking point might be the special effects, but I think the stories will overcome that... I like it - a lot.

Well, I never thought ROTJ was all that good. It was made better by removing that annoying Ewok song and dance crap at the end, but even so, the movie was definitely the weakest among the original trilogy.

Yeah, but look how long ESB has been around. The "Darth-Vader-is-my-father" thing was actually a very well-kept secret when the movie was released in 1980.

Movie secrets aren't meant to survive two decades after the film's original run. The entire point of a movie secret is to reveal something shocking for viewers seeing it when it first appears in movie theaters.

I never got to experience the secret, unfortunately. I'm still mildly bitter about that. Also, I thought ROTJ was the best of the original trilogy.

Seriously? I liked ROTJ ... I mean more than any of the prequels... but ESB and ANH are pretty much tied for me.

Yeah, I think the Ewoks tainted ROTJ, otherwise it might have been a 3-way tie for me.

It wasn't so much the Ewoks that bugged me, as much as it was how "dumb" the Stormtroopers and Biker Scouts got AGAINST them. I didn't mind them toppling AT-ST's with logs, or smashing AT-ST's heads with logs... but in general, the way the Stormtroopers and Biker Scouts handled the Ewoks on foot was just painful.

I would have preferred the Wookies to Ewoks - much better in my opinion... Ewoks are just too cuddly for me.

The first time I saw the enhanced edition of ROTJ in the movie theatre, there was a girl sitting in the row in front of me who, at the end of the movie, said: "They ruined the ending! I liked that Ewok song."

I looked at her and thought she was insane. Come to think of it, I still do think she's insane. :P
