None of those worked for me. I think my glasses tend to eliminate the effects of optical illusions. I'm sure it's my prescription (which is incredibly high) more than anything.

I love the 'tessellated tiles'. That reminds me of the 'tumbling elves?' that Escher did...

Okay, I can get the staring ones... but what about the pencils?
Count the tips of the pencil, then count the erasers.

That one is great. I even found myself questioning if it was a fake, but was able to get the photo to switch back to black-and-white and again to 'full' color. Nice.

Actually, that's a hoarding used to cover the construction site below it. I've seen it when I visited Paris four years ago so I guess it's pretty safe to believe that it is gone now and that the real palce can be seen again ;)
